Riverbank Lodges are situated in the beautiful Highland countryside , only 1 mile from the village of Tomatin (famous for its Tomatin whisky!) and the Strathdearn Hub which has a local shop, cafe,hall, indoor playing pitch, and electric car chariging station. Nestled within the glen of Strathdearn and bordering the Cairngorms national park , Riverbank Lodges is only a 15-20 min drive from Aviemore to the south and Inverness to the north. Overlooking the River Findhorn, guests often see red squirrels, rabbits, hares, deer and a variety of bird life, including eagles. Strathdearn is a popular destination for bird watchers who come to see golden eagles, which can on occasion be spotted further up the glen.
It is the perfect spot for guests looking to explore the surrounding Highlands. There is so much to do for all members of the family in the surrounding area! Whether you plan to visit Loch Ness, Culloden Battlefield, Castle Stuart or Clava Cairns, or go walking, cycling, quad trekking, golfing, shooting or fishing, or even take the kids to Landmark Adventure Park, Zip lining at Alvie or Kincraig Wildlife park.
Our self catering luxury pod lodges can fit a family of up to 5 persons, come with a private sheltered hot tub with towels provided, picnic table, free parking for up to 2 cars, fully fitted kitchen (with a complimentary pack with some teas, coffees and biscuits!), smart TVs in living room and in each bedroom & free WIFI. The lodges are cleaned and maintained to a very high standard, giving our guests, a memorable experience!

Firewood can be ordered in advance of stay if you would like to use the firepit.
Electric Car charging
There are 2x electric charging points (up 22kW) available at the utility shed within roughly 100m of the pod lodges, where you can park your car and charge at any time during your stay. Please remember to bring your car charging cable. To acess and pay for this Voltshare service please just scan the QR code at the charger. Payment can be made by card or Apple/Google Pay.
